There’s nothing quite like seeing the joy on a child’s face when they spot their grandparent walking through the doors of their school. Our Grandparents Breakfast and celebration of our 100th day of school. To honor grandparents and their wisdom, the children dressed as if they were 100 years old. It was a sweet celebration of faith, family, and legacy. Students and their grandparents shared a warm breakfast and time of fellowship.

October 11, 2024
To bring the stories of Scripture to life, our students participated in the Abraham Journey—a walking field trip designed to help them experience what it might have been like for Abraham to follow God’s call into the unknown.
Alongside teachers and classmates, students walked together, made stops for guided reflections, and engaged in age-appropriate discussions about obedience, faith, and trusting God’s promises. It was a memorable way to connect classroom learning with movement and meaning, reminding us that walking in faith sometimes means taking one step at a time—even if we don’t know where the path leads.

Waters Academy is thrilled to announce the availability of scholarships for new students for the upcoming academic year. These scholarships are part of our commitment to making quality, Christ-centered education accessible to families in our community.
We understand that the cost of private education can be a significant consideration for many families. That's why we have developed a scholarship program designed to assist students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership potential, and a desire to grow in their faith. Our scholarships are available to all students, offering partial tuition assistance based on financial need and merit.
At Waters Academy, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive, spiritually enriching environment. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students academically while nurturing their spiritual development. By providing these scholarships, we aim to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent deserving students from experiencing the benefits of a Waters Academy education.
We encourage interested families to apply for our scholarships by contacting the admissions office for more details on eligibility and application requirements. We are excited to help more students join our vibrant community and look forward to welcoming new scholars to Waters Academy.

On April 26th, the community of Waters Church across New England locations came together in Norwood to celebrate and support the launch of Waters Academy, Waters Church’s first Christian academy. The evening was a heartfelt gathering that showcased the unity and commitment of our church members toward this monumental project.
The event was filled with prayer and inspiration, featuring a compelling message from Pastor Tim Hatch and insightful words from Dean Harrington, a dedicated board member of Waters Academy. Waters Academy is delighted to announce the appointment of Renee Scafidi as its first principal. With 26 years of dedicated service in the North Attleborough public school district, Renee brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education that is both excellent and Christ-centered. Her appointment was joyfully announced at Waters Church’s First Tuesday event in April 2024.
Renee and her husband, Chris, have been long-time, active members of Waters Church, serving faithfully on the North Attleborough campus. Her deep-rooted connection to the community and her extensive educational background makes her uniquely equipped to lead Waters Academy as it prepares to open its doors in September 2024.
Pastor Tim Hatch expressed his confidence in Renee's leadership, stating, “She is going to be a powerful force for our students, driving excellence and keeping the curriculum challenging, while being Christ-centered.” This sentiment reflects the academy’s mission to provide an educational environment that nurtures both the intellectual and spiritual growth of its students.
Upon accepting her new role, Renee addressed the church body, saying, “I'm humbled and honored by this opportunity. After over 25 years in public education, I can say that it's a completely different environment now than it was at the start of my career. I'm excited and committed to growing a school that puts Christ first.”
Renee’s leadership is a pivotal step forward for Waters Academy, promising a bright future for the school and its students.

We are thrilled to announce the scheduled launch of Waters Academy, set to open its doors in September 2024. This much-anticipated event marks a significant milestone for our community and for families seeking an education that combines academic excellence with Christian values.
At it's core, Waters Academy is dedicated to providing a rigorous, Christ-centered education. As we prepare for our opening, the accreditation process is already underway and is expected to be completed within the next 2-3 years. This ensures that our curriculum and teaching practices meet high standards and that we provide the best educational experience to our students.
Pastor Tim Hatch of Waters Church shared his enthusiasm for this new endeavor, stating, "Our public school system is letting our children down. At Waters Academy, parents can expect their children to receive an excellent elementary education grounded in a Christ-centered perspective." This statement reflects the core belief that drives the establishment of Waters Academy—to provide an alternative educational path that nurtures the whole child in a faith-based setting.
As of right now, Waters Academy is going to accept students in grades K-5, with the goal of adding a grade every year, so the 5th grade students can grow with the school. Currently, Waters Academy is in the process of selecting teachers who will embody the values and vision of our school. We are looking for teachers who are passionate about fostering an environment where students can grow intellectually and spiritually. Applications are still open, and we invite experienced educators who feel called to this mission to apply.
We eagerly look forward to welcoming our first group of students in grades K-5 next fall and to expanding our grade offerings in the years to come. Waters Academy will be located at Waters Church in North Attleboro. For families interested in learning more about Waters Academy and the unique educational opportunities it offers, please contact our admissions office.
As we count down to our opening, stay tuned for more updates and information on how you can be part of this exciting new chapter in education at Waters Academy.
